Starlink 10-42 Amazes the Space Coast

Cape Canaveral S.F.S., FL – In the moments before dawn of July 9, 2026, a SpaceX Falcon 9 lifted off from LC-40 sending 29 more Starlink satellites into orbit.  Liftoff came at 5:25 AM EDT about an hour prior to sunrise.

The magical launch time created the “space jellyfish” that was seen for hundreds of miles along the flight path.  We Report Space photographer caught the flight north of Orlando.  Shortly after launch this 36 time flown booster made a landing on the recovery ship “A Shortfall of Gravitas”.
