Antonov-124 at the Space Coast

The Antonov AN-124 which is the worlds largest operating cargo aircraft landed @ Melbourne Orlando International Airport on Sunday. It had flown in from Germany to load over 50,000 pounds of aerospace cargo before it heads out to the Pacific Northwest,

This was not the first visit for the AN-124. It landed on the tarmac back in 2024. All fueling & ground operations were handled by ground operation crews with Sheltair the same FBO (Fixed Base Operations) that had handled the previous appearance.

While the massive 24 wheel jet sat on the tarmac Sunday evening, SpaceX launched a Falcon9 carrying the SXM-11 digital communications satellite built by Lanteris (Palo Alto, Ca).
