Cape Canaveral S.F.S. FL. – In what is possibly a record, SpaceX pulled off a double header for launching two rockets, from two coasts less than 45 minutes apart.  The first launch came at 9:12 PM EDT from Cape Canaveral in Florida and the second launch came at 9:50 PM EDT from Vandenberg S.F.S. in California.  The Cape Canaveral launch included a landing of the first stage booster shortly after launching the GlobalStar 2-R Mission 1 communications satellite.

The Vandenberg launch was a secret mission for the U.S.S.F name USSF-366 lofting what is possibly some communications satellites for the military.  The Cape Canaveral launch created an incredible sight of a “space nebula” as the first stage booster made its’ way back to the launch site.
